Eid ul Aza 2015!

Hello everyone!

So a few days ago our second Eid of the year — the bigger of the two Eids–passed! This Eid is after Hajj (pilgrimage) and we sacrifice goats on this as Eid as well. Living in the USA, my parents have to send $ to their distant family in Pakistan to make sure a sacrifice of an animal is done by our family.

Eid was on Thursday, September 24th. I hate weekday Eids because it doesnt even feel like Eid when your at work or school. But that night, my dad’s youngest brother (my youngest chacha), and his family, who lives 20 minutes from us, came over for dinner. Just our two families. So that was nice and made it feel like a little mini Eid.

Day 1: Actual Day of EID

I wore a new cotton/lawn suit, and it was simple but super cute and colorful! Here’s what it looked like:

Day 2: Friday, September 25th

For this Eid, we had proper family dinner at my dad’s uncles place with all of my dads family that lives in our state. This was on Friday night, and It was typical dinner party, they are usually boring, but thank god for my sisters and our 2 cousins, because the 5 of us just stick together.

My outfit was a new one my mom bought me earlier this week! Again i loved the colors of the dress, because it was greenish blue which i LOVE! I  Here’s what it looked like:

I paired the outfit with a deep purple clutch i got as a birthday present back in high school from a friend. And nude heels i’ve purchased last few months. I loved the way the look came together on both nights!

    1. Hey! We get them from variety of places, my mom knows a lot of random aunties around here who independently sell clothes, so we buy from them mostly. And whenever there are eid melas or things at masjid, people come and sell there too, so mostly from these type of places! My aunt lives in VA, not sure how she buys her clothes but i’im thinking something similar?

      1. Oh ok. When I lived in Detroit, there were desi shops on every corner. I tried buying online but I don’t always trust that. Thankfully, my mom sent me and hubby outfits to wear so we were saved!! 👌🏽👌🏽

  5. Your outfits are really pretty! I normally get mine from Pakistan when one of my siblings or mom go to visit, it’s nice that you have some options nearby!
