This past weekend, my sister and i made guacamole at home for the first time ever! It was quite simple to make, the toughest part is the actual peeling of the Avacado.
Here’s a quick post to discuss how we made it and how it turned out!
We peeled the avocados and put them in a bowl to mash up. This was hardest part since the avocados are quite slimy and don’t break easily, i actually had to use a hand blender to get them cut down to pieces.
Next, we cut and added onion, green onion and tomato to the avocado and mixed as best as we could.
This is what it looked like initially. We kept it a bit chunky instead of super mushy, so it would be easier to pick up with chips. Next time though, i think we’d make it more paste like. We continued to mix it as best as we could and then decided to serve it with Stacy Pita Chips.
This is a perfect late afternoon or evening snack to have. For our first try, i think we did pretty well!
Next time we might add more flavoring and try to make more of it!
Let me know if you guys have any good recipes for guac!
